Where did January go? The month started with new resolutions and talk of making the most
of the long nights for cosy projects. The pile of on line learning tickets that are waiting to be actioned. The basket of wrinkled summer dresses that need to be vacuum packed in the loft glare at you.
So you are remarkably relieved to see the dawn flush the sky pink and you ignore these internal winter jobs to get out into the garden. Sounds good to me but some of us have a guilt gnome telling us about our to do list constantly and the guilt gnome interferes with our ability to enjoy what we are doing right now.
My guilt gnome has a boat hook that he uses to dredge up past faults and criticisms shouting look at this Sara its at least thirty years old, I know you revisited this last year but I want you to jump into my pond of regret and swim in amongst the weeds of the things you didn't do or say.
Great I thought here we go again my internal monologue - here is a thought how can it be a monologue when I have several voices chipping in with opinions on what I should be doing with my time?
Its a fresh morning and the sun is shining, I grab a plant pot and plonk it over the guilt gnome and stretch my legs to wander in the colours of the breaking day.
I have spent some significant time working on myself and learning how to get the best out of me - I would love to share my ideas with others which is why I am running short webinars starting Monday 10th February at 7pm. They are free to sign up and attend no hidden charges.
