Where do you find the time to post in all of these different formats. I use RSS feeds to ensure that the podcast automatically shares across several platforms but how do you manage short videos that don’t necessarily work well with say instagram or even uploading the video to your blog post?
I was not keen but somehow found myself posting on TikTok and one thing I do like is that it includes all the editing elements within the App. Captions, add a cool tune, you can even download the short video – yep and upload it ready with the captions to YouTube that will save you a few hours of typing.
I thought I should get in and refresh my website – since I went on the course in January 2025 with Digital Peninsula Network – I changed my website to word press under their guidance and took their advice to use a new host. This was an additional cost not included in the website course. I think I had got my head around using WIX and it was sort of pulling in a bit of traffic. I spent many weeks titivating under expert tuition and got the sum of zero traffic. So I being the highly distracted individual decided to focus my attention on something with some feedback which is how I found myself using TikTok.
I have cleared a good number of pages and they were superfluous to requirements and kept in fairly basic. There are links to the podcast, and there is access to information about me if you are interested in utilising any of my skills. Bumblebee and I spent our Christmas and New Year in the Lizard Village. We were at Henry’s Campsite. I got to read a few books and clean out the van a bit. We also had plenty of walks.
Henry’s Campsite has created individual spaces to park up and camp, allowing you that extra bit of privacy. During the day the host’s ducks waddle round and check your patch for slugs and other delectable offerings of the earth. New Years Eve a campfire was lit in the stone circle where all ages came together to cook marshmallows on sticks and share a glass or two to see the New Year in – there was a clear sky over head and the Moon was almost full. It gave a sense of unique atmosphere.
Bonus points for this campsite are the hot showers, and a warm surrounding to get your clothes off in (winter is not always the best time to use campsites). Sensible recycling points and plenty of hot water for washing up etc.
