Education starts with exploring what you already know.
I was born in Barncoose Maternity Hospital, Redruth in 1965, I was shortly taken ‘home’ to my ‘God-Mothers’ house in St.Day – ‘June Swindell’ had moved to the village to run a tea shop at the time which later evolved into a Antiques showroom. The barn at the side was often full of books. Older people in the village may recall seeing my dad put my high chair seat into the sidecar and ride off with his old motorcycle puffing clouds behind like chitty chitty bang bang. I am told that my Grandmother cycled from Mile End, The Lizard to visit my mother and I in St.Day.
As a family it may seem like we disappeared as Dad, was posted to RAF Abingdon and we headed north.
